The Tree Perception Tester (TPT) is designed to help you cut a better light.

Have you ever lost a race or broken out by 0.005? With the Tree Perception Tester those losses could have been wins.

Take a look at Figure 1 (click pics for larger image). This graph shows an actual measurement of the tree’s amber lights. Time zero is when the starter throws the switch. Notice that the amber lights take 0.120 seconds to reach full brightness!!

The question is, since you react when you see the lights - at what point do you actually SEE the lights? The truth is that this moment can vary by as much as 0.030 seconds! Unless you understand this variation, and how to accurately compensate for it, you will lose races you could have won.

The TPT will measure your threshold of perception to the tree’s amber lights and calculate your actual delay in seeing the tree. The reported result can be used to accurately and confidently adjust your delay box to cut a better light.
