ICE DANCING
And me without my Tutu.
I'm not sure the track was all that bad - but I couldn't get my
hooks into it. My best run, second lap, was a 0.733 - a new personal
best I think. With cooler air coming I was drooling over the
prospects of my first 7.20 something but could not get a grip any
round thereafter.
It’s a dilemma with the double pumper launches. If it hooks it jerks
the wheels out of the beams for a red light RT. If it spins I get a
low 0.50 something RT. Gotta figure this out. Spun hard on the 1-2
shifts also.
Eileen Pandeles kicked some serious butt in King of the Hill and
took the tiara with 0.512 and 0.527 RTs as I recall from my foggy
memory - close enough. She swept me away in the second round. First
round I had the Bye.
I went to see Fast Eddy Thursday morning to see about adding one
lower frame hole location for my 4-link bars. As it is I have no IC
locations where I want to go. He suggested something else of course.
I have this policy - that I suggest for everyone else, especially my
wife - that I never follow myself. When dealing with professionals
tell them what you want - don't tell them what to do. Eddy has his
own ideas how to set up my 4-link. They're different from mine, and
Dave Morgan's too. So I'll let him have a crack at it. And we'll do
it my way next time.
I'm going to Fontana for the Fun Ford weekend. Chebbies are welcome.
Traction is good there so I'll just go to see what it will do in the
quarter. Previous best last year was 11.83. Should be a couple or
tenths quicker now.
