The only thing you
need to know about the law of unintended consequences is
- IT'S THE LAW.

The flex cable would
wrinkle up with the force of the double pumper throttle and diminish
the stroke. To
firm up the flex cable I encased it in an aluminum tube.
The flex cable still
wobbles at the root, and at the carb end, so it will give when the
motor twists.
Engine mounts are solid so
it won't twist much. |

This is the throttle in the
WOT position. The
throttle pedal bell crank used to pull till the cable was 90 degrees
to the arm.
I tightened the bell crank's
angle so the throttle now pulls thu 90 degrees. There is a
mechanical advantage beyond 90 degrees. That will help when the
throttle hits the secondaries. |

I relocated the cable clip
farther away from the shaft. for increased leverage. This will
reduce the force on the cable.
I implemented this on the Holley
(shown here) to make carb switching easy.
This will increase the
stroke and likely slow the car's reaction time.
The delay will help me
avoid red lights at Fontana since they are using LED bulbs.

This throttle bracket will
give the cable more leverage. |

Multiple throttle clip
locations will make installing easy |

Here it is installed on the BG
carb. The original cable clip location is where the upper phillips
screw is now..
