These were the old mounts.
There was no lateral support at all.
The very nice 19 inch fan shroud had a 15 inch shallow pitch steel fan.
Maybe that's why there was an electric fan installed.

The new upper radiator
supports also provide for lateral support. The 17 inch flex fan has 7 blades and should flatten at high rpm to maximize horsepower. |
